I was going through a really tough time when I split from my first wife and I was drinking too much. One day I went into the Woolly Sheep in Skipton and asked for a pint. Steve said (as only Steve did), you look like shit, have you eaten today? I said no and he said no beer then and wandered off into the kitchen. A minute later out came a meal which he made me eat before I could have a drink. I'll never forget that.
